Coach/Volunteer

Volunteers Needed

The Delbrook Basketball League is run by volunteers. Without your dedication and commitment, this league could not operate. We look forward to having you join our ranks. It's a fun way to give back to your community.

If you have not volunteered with Delbrook Basketball, please complete the volunteer form for coaching or other volunteer positions.

Coaches will be contacted in August with more details about the new season that starts in September. The coaching clinic is held the first week of September. The coaching season runs September to March for most divisions with one practice during the week and a game on the weekend.

Please email volunteer@delbrookbasketball.com if you have any questions.

Criminal Record Checks

Like many other community organizations, coaches and assistant coaches are required to complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC). Thanks for starting now as processing times vary and the CRC needs to be completed by the start of the season. The league requires coaches and assistant coaches to complete the CRC every five years. The league will accept a valid teaching certificate where a CRC is required.

The league will also accept a CRC done for another community organization. To confirm completion, simply show your completed CRC to the president.

Here's what you need to do.

Online:

Our league is now enrolled in the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) with the BC Ministry of Justice. Volunteers can complete the Criminal Record Check free of charge online.

Visit https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/, enter the Delbrook Basketball Association's unique access code: LB9WC2SEB9 and complete the online application form.
Results will be sent to our safety officer by email.
For more information, visit www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/criminal-records-review/index.htm
