FIBA, the International governing body for basketball, produces a magazine for coaches called FIBA Assist. It is an outstanding publication that is available free on-line. As well the usual technical articles there is an article that outlines the FIBA Rule Changes in effect beginning Oct. 1/2008 and FIBA Rule Changes effective Oct. 1/2010. To download the latest Assist magazine go to www.fiba.com/assist_magazine.

There is book titled Basketball for Young Players that is a free download.
- If you go to this site and click on “Training”
- Another menu bar will come up right below and then click on “Ball for Young Players” and you get the book.
- If you click on ”Click here to access the interactive website” you will be able to access video clips and diagrams of many of the drills.
- Chapter 6 is specifically for ages 6-12. It is a fantastic site.
